MediScanIO (“we”, “us”) publishes health information articles and lab test guides at mediscanio.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the website and how it is used.
- We do not collect your medical data
The website has no user accounts and no report uploads. The lab result checker on our Lab Tests pages runs entirely inside your browser: the numbers you type are never sent to our server and are not stored. - Information collected automatically
Analytics: we use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) to understand which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from and what device they use. Google sets cookies to do this. Google’s own privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
Page view counts: we count how many times each article is viewed. These counts are not linked to you.
Security logs: our hosting and security software record IP addresses and browser details of requests, mainly to block spam and attacks. These logs are kept for a limited time.
Accessibility settings: if you use the accessibility toolbar (for example larger text), your choice is saved in your own browser so it stays the same on the next page. - Cookies
Cookies are used for analytics and for the site to work properly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the articles remain fully readable without them. - Emails you send us: If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you. We do not sell or share it.
- The former MediScanIO app: The MediScanIO report-analysis app has been discontinued. Its user accounts and data have been deleted, and the app address now redirects to this website.
- Medical disclaimer
Everything on this website is general health education. It is not a diagnosis or a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor. Normal ranges differ between laboratories; always compare your results with the reference range on your own report and discuss them with your doctor. - Your rights
You can ask what personal information we hold about you (in practice, usually only an email you sent us) and ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, data-protection laws such as the GDPR may give you further rights. - Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: support@mediscanio.com.
